Amigurumi World ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application developed by Orgum.net for crochet and knitting enthusiasts. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account or sign in, we collect:
- Email address (for authentication and account recovery)
- Username (for displaying in patterns, listings and chat)
- Profile picture (optional, uploaded by you)
- Authentication tokens from Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In (if used)
1.2 User-Generated Content
- Amigurumi recipes/patterns you create and share
- Listings (handmade product offers) you publish
- Comments, ratings and reviews
- Chat messages with other users
- Images uploaded for patterns, listings and chat
1.3 Device & Usage Information
- Device model, operating system version
- App version, crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Usage analytics (screens viewed, features used) via Firebase Analytics
- Push notification token (FCM)
- IP address (for security and abuse prevention)
- Approximate location based on IP (country level only)
1.4 Purchase Information
When you subscribe to Premium:
- Subscription plan and status (managed by RevenueCat)
- Transaction ID and product identifier
- Platform (iOS App Store or Google Play)
- We never see your payment card or billing details — these are handled exclusively by Apple/Google.
1.5 Permissions Requested
- Camera & Photo Library: To upload pattern photos, listing images and chat attachments. Used only when you initiate the action.
- Notifications: To receive updates about messages, new patterns and promotions.
- Internet: Required to sync data with our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide core app functionality (patterns, listings, chat, translation)
- Personalize your experience and show relevant content
- Process subscription purchases and grant Premium features
- Send push notifications you opted into
- Detect and prevent fraud, spam and abuse
- Analyze app performance and fix bugs
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Third-Party Services
Amigurumi World uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

4. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
Amigurumi World offers auto-renewable subscription plans (Starter, Pro, Unlimited — monthly and yearly). Subscriptions provide unlimited pattern translations, PDF downloads, ad-free experience and unlimited listing posts.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal turned off in your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play after purchase.
- No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active period.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share data when:
- You explicitly publish content (patterns, listings, comments) — these become public to other app users
- Required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights
- With service providers (listed above) who help operate the app, under strict confidentiality
- In case of business transfer (merger, acquisition), with the same protections in place
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Cloud / Firebase servers located in Europe and the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access
- Authentication tokens with short expiration
- Regular security audits
However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
- Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: profile, listings and patterns are removed within 30 days.
- Purchase records: retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
- Anonymous analytics: retained up to 14 months.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data we hold
- Correct inaccurate information via the Edit Profile screen
- Delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Delete Account)
- Export your data — contact us for a copy
- Object to certain processing activities
- Withdraw consent at any time

9. Children's Privacy
Amigurumi World is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS 14.5 and later, we comply with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. We will request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You can change this preference anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Significant changes will be notified through the app. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
